It's been a while since we made a blog entry. We kind of stopped posting and didn't show the highlights from the rest of the New Mexico / Colorado road trip. Which was amazingly... almost a year ago.
Anyway, thanks for coming back and here are some things to check out a brief run of the New Mexico & Colorado Trip in Pictures.
You've already seen the White Sands post, but the uniqueness of this place can't be overstated.
This region offered us so much quality time with our hummingbird friends. "His goal in life was to be an echo..."
In addition to taking in the landscapes and hiking, we enjoyed our fair share of the scenes in both Santa Fe and Taos. Santa Fe is my favorite city in the US.
Road trip from Santa Fe to Taos and then cross the border to Colorado to explore Great Sand Dunes National Park. The landscape is unlike anywhere else with a 700-foot dune that is always in motion within a mountain range already over 8000 feet in elevation. Weather and storms also unpredictable given the time of year and geography.
Hiking the great dune gives you perspectives that I'm not sure exist anywhere else. And finding a gorgeous garden within the Dunes was an unexpected treat!
